Instructor Training
Prerequisites
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be ISE certified one level above the desired Instr.-Level
- Must have a min of 500 Dives beyond open water certification
- Must be able to swim a distance of at least 30 meters holding his breath
- Should be able to swim at least 1000 meters in less than 30 minutes without stopping.
Purpose
The ISE IT course is structured to prepare divers for the rigors of teaching exploration diving and to familiarize them with the way of training ISE offers. The training focuses on the demonstration level of the divers skills and proficiency in comunication those skills to others. This will include problem identification and resolution on student skills, teaching techniques, positioning of students, use of assistents and all the specific need of the level taught.
Duration
The class is divided in a "fake" and a real class and therefore twice as long as the "real" class
Limits
- Instructor candidate to IT ratio is not to exceed 3:1
- Maximum depth as in Level taught
- No overhead environment diving (excepting decompression)
